ABOUT

The way a brand moves should come from the same place its strategy does.

My practice started in audiovisual art: live visuals, projection mapping, spatial moving-image work built for stages and festivals. Over ten years of freelance work, that same instinct for image-making moved steadily into branding and strategy became the part I care about most. Today, branding, strategy, and motion aren't three separate services to me. They're one discipline.

I hold a Bachelor's in Visual Communication and a diploma in Motion Design from one of the world's leading film schools. I've worked at every stage of a project, from early concept to final delivery but the strongest results happen when I'm involved from the strategy stage onward.

zwischendrunter is a made-up word a mashup of the German zwischen (in between) and drunter (amongst it, underneath it all). As a DJ, then a VJ, it fit exactly: chaotic, elusive, impossible to pin down, always in the middle of the mix rather than framing it from the outside.

Identity is something I think about far beyond branding. The self we present on stage, in a company, in daily life is built, not given: shaped by circumstance, habit, and the stories we've told ourselves for long enough to believe them. Which means it can also be examined, questioned, and rebuilt. That's the same work I do with brands.

My approach to branding runs on clarity, coherence, no contradictions because that's what makes an identity legible and strong. zwischendrunter isn't a leftover from who I used to be. It's a reminder that who we are was always something we get to shape.
